We believe that children learn best through meaningful play and intentional teacher interactions. “Thoughtful Play” encourages curiosity, discovery and problem solving which promotes the individual growth and development of a positive self-image.

Infant Program
At Lean On Us Unity Child Care Center (LOUUCC), our Infant Program provides a warm, nurturing, and responsive environment for babies as young as 6 weeks old. We go beyond feeding and diapering—our caregivers help infants reach developmental milestones like rolling over, crawling, sitting up, walking, and early talking. Classrooms are designed for open exploration, with customized safety flooring to support every stage of growth. Through singing, storytelling, and play, we support your child’s early learning journey in a clean, safe, and loving space.
Toddler Program
Our Toddler Program is designed to channel the energy and curiosity of your little one into meaningful learning experiences. With a blend of individual and group activities, each day is filled with opportunities for toddlers to explore, problem-solve, and grow socially and emotionally. Classrooms are stocked with age-appropriate manipulatives and guided by customized lesson plans that support language, communication, motor skills, and cognitive development. Our nurturing environment gives busy toddlers the structure and encouragement they need to thrive.
Before / After School - Beyond the Bells
The LOUUCC Before and Aftercare: Beyond the Bells provides a safe, supportive environment where children can continue learning beyond the school day. Our program offers time for homework help, exploration, and engaging enrichment activities in areas like leadership, music, STEM, and more. Students also enjoy occasional field trips that spark curiosity and build lasting memories.
Summer Fun Program
Get ready for a summer full of fun, learning, and adventure at the LOUUCC Summer Camp! Running from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, our Summer program follows the Prince George’s County Public School Calendar for start and end dates. Campers will enjoy weekly field trips and hands-on enrichment activities in reading, English, math, and science—all designed to keep young minds active and engaged throughout the summer.

In 2012, Priscilla Ofosu and Dianeda Short came together with a divinely orchestrated vision as they shared employment at a dental facility in Northern Virginia.
These two amazing trailblazers are making significant contributions in their communities by launching several life-changing Lean on Us organizations including Childcare, House of Faith Non-Profit, and Women's Empowerment.
